The et al series: In creating these
78"x72" acrylic on canvas paintings I first gathered doodles or
small drawings from a unique group of people. I then used these
materials as the initiating influence for the works. This allows
the group to shape the painting in a very real way so that the
end product is both influenced by them and a unique creation of
my own.
Can you tell what community influenced each
of these paintings? Looking at et al # 1 through
et al # 3, one was influenced by a group of cashiers from
my hometown area, another was influenced by Alzhiemer's patients,
and another by employees from an Exotic night club. Take a guess
and then click on the painting to find out.
